The Fullers Reading Group is our flagship book club. It is run by our colleague Rayne, who has recently returned to Tasmania after having spent fifteen years abroad teaching History, Classics, and Great Books classes at various universities in the USA and UK.
The schedule for 2024 is as follows:

Sessions are held in the first week of each month (see below). Session times are as follows, as at 28 March 2024 (please note they may be subject to change or revision):
1. Mondays 9:30am-10:30am (Afterword Cafe)
2. Tuesday mornings 9:30am-10:30am (Afterword Cafe)
3. Tuesday evenings 6.00pm-7.00pm (Fullers Bookshop)
4. Saturdays 9:30-10:30am (Afterword Cafe)
5. Second Wednesdays 6.00pm-7.00pm (Fullers Bookshop)
All morning groups will meet in the cafe, the evening groups will meet at the front of the shop near new releases.
Each group will be capped at 15 members. Please refrain from attending if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, or are generally unwell.

The Fullers Reading Group was started by Irene McGuire in 1997. The first book they ever discussed was Patrick O’Brian’s Master and Commander. Since then they have met monthly, February-November, every year (with the exception of the ill-fated 2020).
