Please join Minnie Darke for a launch party to celebrate the arrival of With Love from Wish & Co. Minnie is thrilled that the person doing the honours on the night will be the marvellous and mischievous Carmel Bird, author of too many books to name, but most recently of Telltale, a memoir of Carmel’s experiences of reading, writing and remembering.

With Love from Wish & Co, set in the same world as Darke’s Star-crossed, features locations purloined from Hobart’s CBD. It’s the story of Marnie Fairchild, a professional gift buyer who makes an uncharacteristic error when she mixes up two presents bought on behalf of her best client. When his lover opens a gift intended for his wife, and his wife opens a parcel intended for his lover, trouble ensues. An early review from the USA’s Booklist says With Love from Wish & Co is written with Darke’s ’signature wit and charm’, and is ‘at its heart, a novel about the gift of being seen’.

The launch party is a free. Books will be for sale (Minnie will gladly sign them) and a bar will be open so you can purchase a drink or two if you fancy.
