What is a dot when a dot is not?
Is it a swish? A sweep? Or a swirl?
Is it a scurry? A wave? Or a pearl?
In this hour-long school holiday workshop, kids (aged 5-12) will work with local author, Johanna Bell, and Broome-based illustrator, Amelia Luscombe, to explore all the places drawing can take you. Using What is a Dot? as inspiration, children will have a chance to ask questions about how picture books are made and then create their very own hand drawn picture book.
We ask that children aged six and under be accompanied by an adult (supervising adults attend free of charge). Materials provided.
