Hannah Kent is the co-founder of Australian literary journal Kill Your Darlings. In 2011, she won the inaugural Writer Australia Unpublished Manuscript Award for her debut novel, Burial Rites, the story of Agnes Magnusdottir, the last person to be executed in Iceland. Since its publication in 2013, Burial Rites has been translated into nearly thirty languages and has received numerous awards and nominations.
