Australian Reading Hour was first launched in 2012, and each year it gets bigger and develops more of a following. The idea is simple: in celebration of the joys of reading, on one day of the year everyone in Australia is encouraged to set aside an hour to read.
This year, the day is Tuesday 14 September.
To get in the spirit, we’re organising a very special literary evening in our Afterword Café. Join Rayne, host of our Reading Groups, for two hours of readings and discussion of favourite poems – bring along your own favourite, or feel free to just listen.
Spaces are strictly limited, so get in fast. Tickets are $10, which includes a complimentary glass of wine, juice or soft drink on arrival.
