Stella Prize Discussion
International Women’s Day
Is women’s writing different than men’s? Does it even matter?
On International Women’s Day, Thursday 8th March, Fullers Bookshop will host a panel discussion on the subject ‘Is women’s writing different from men’s and does it really matter?’
The discussion is under the auspices of The Stella Prize and will take place concurrently at independent bookshops around Australia.
The Stella Prize is a new prize for Australian women writers and will celebrate and recognise Australian women’s writing, encourage a future generation of women writers, and significantly increase the readership for books by women.
The panel will consist of ABC radio presenter, Annie Warburton, Island magazine editor, Dale Campisi, English teacher and critic, Anna Forward and young community leader and emerging writer, Caitlin Richardson.
Before the event begins the International Women’s Development Agency will also hold a discussion and proceeds from this will go to Amnesty International (details below).
All are welcome to attend this free event though reservations are essential rsvp@fullersbookshop.com.au
